1. What We Do With Collected E-mail Addresses

     Upon registration for inclusion in this genealogy site, we require   that the contributor's  e-mail address  be included with the information being submitted for purposes of verification. The Webmaster will not in any way reveal said e-mail address, nor send any other e-mails other than verification ones --  unless with express consent from the contributor. 

    On the other hand, e-mail addresses collected through "public viewing entries" in our guest book are understood to be available for e-mailing.

    We also send a one-time e-mail for every guest book entry with the e-mail field accurately filled up.

2. How We Use "Personal Information"

     "Personal information" in this case is synonymous to "personal genealogy data".  We have provided a registration form which our visitors can fill up at will -- signifying their intent & desire to be included  in this particular registry. We cannot do without this registration form because of the mere fact that this is a genealogy site. It is necessary for us to gather enough personal information in order for us to accurately trace and document a person's ancestry. No one is forced to fill up such form. Filling up the registration form is strictly voluntary. 

3. WebTrends Live & How It Works

      WebTrends Live is used to analyze traffic to this web site. WebTrends Live does not create individual profiles for visitors. Unlike some tracking services WebTrends Live does not have a database of individual profiles for each visitor. WebTrends Live only collects aggregate data.      Basically, TheCounter.com works almost just like WebTrends Live. However, we opted to put up one of their free counters to enable both webmaster & visitors to see how many times the placeholder page had been hit. Click here to view their privacy policy.
